Conventional agricultural fertilizers are a massive problem that Climate Survival Solutions is developing an alternative for.

Worldwide, agriculture is the second-greatest source of greenhouse gas emissions, and both the manufacturing and application of fertilizer are major contributors. Chemical fertilizers also contributes to algae blooms and are responsible for rapidly growing ocean dead zones.

Organic fertilizers direct from animal and human waste are an alternative but can contain concentrated cancer-causing chemicals, heavy metals and other pollutants. By growing small freshwater plants on nutrients from organic waste, contaminants are reduced or remediated and the plants themselves then processed into cleaner fertilizer with high nutrient availability to feed to food crops.

In a more sustainable civilization, nutrients will be recycled locally instead of manufactured using fossil fuels or mined from the Earth and then shipped across the globe. Combined with its PolyBio System™, Climate Survival Solutions is now a leader in the development of localized nutrient recycling technology.
