CSS Completes Solar 6kw Irrigation Pump Design-Build

The Philippines has been hit hard by climate change and has been experiencing extreme heat, droughts, floods and much more severe storms. This has negatively impacted food security. To compensate for droughts, local governments are installing more irrigation systems. In remote areas without grid electricity this often means solar powered pumps. Gasoline pumps are cheaper but of course emit greenhouse gases and are more prone to theft if left unattended.  

CSS designed and constructed this solar irrigation system for a remote rice field on the island of Samar. All of the components had to be carried into the site by hand.
