To date, most governments have failed to adequately address the threats posed by the climate crisis, costing trillions of dollars in damages and countless lives each year. Because most have not effectively communicated the threats to the public, many agencies lack the mandate and public support required to implement resilience and adaptation measures. To date, too many of the funds previously allocated for climate response have been wasted.
In order to move forward with effective climate resilience and adaptation we must first strengthen governance and its capacity to address the complex challenges posed by the rapidly changing climate.
Our presentation at the virtual Summit will introduce OOMS (Organization and Operations Management System), our AI integrated soft-hardware platform designed to greatly evolve government to function at higher levels of efficiency. In development for many years, the highly advanced platform is a whole of government management framework that takes a who, what, where, when, why approach to data processing, organization and operations management.
While the platform consists of numerous micro-services (modules), they are all integrated from common databases and an AI that automates some tasks, provides and analysis and feedback for continued improvement. OOMS supports any size of government agency, from the national level down to the smallest local agency.
The first agency specific application of the OOMS platform is at https://drr.center for disaster risk reduction and management agencies.
